Ripples in the Stream: A Pragmatic Journey Through Gautama Buddha's Teachings, Paperback/Karma Yeshe Rabgye
Descriere
Description One of the many things we all have in common is the desire to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. It is this same desire that led Karma Yeshe Rabgye to Buddhism. While practicing religion in a more traditional sense isn't for everyone, there is much that can be gained from applying Buddhist teachings to everyday life. In his third book, Ripples in the Stream Karma Yeshe Rabgye shares a collection of Buddhism-inspired blog posts he compiled over a three-year period. The collection is written in a manner that is pragmatic, contemporary and easy to relate to. About the author Karma Yeshe Rabgye is a Western Buddhist monk, originally from England, who now lives at Ashoka Buddhist Temple in India. Having taken his vows from H. E. Tai Situ Rinpoche in Sherabling Monastery, Yeshe has studied with such notable figures as the fourteenth Dalai Lama and seventeenth Karmapa. He also helped found the nonprofit Indian organization Sangye-Menla Patients Charitable Trust in 2008. He is the author of The Best Way to Catch a Snake and Life's Meandering Path. Yeshe currently lives in northern India, where he teaches Buddhism, meditation classes and mindfulness in schools. He also has his own secular meditation centre and runs twice weekly meditation sessions in local parks. For more information, visit www. buddhismguide. org.
