This book uses theories from archaeology and sociocultural anthropology to approach to kinship and marriage in ancient Egypt, mainly through the notions of kinship as a process and material agency. 'Kin group' is used as an analytical category to explore potential ways of expressing relatedness in ancient primary sources.
