There was something strange about his eyes. He looked straight at her saying, "He doesn't know, you know," and with his right hand he literally crushed the glass he was drinking from. Glass and sherry was over everything, but there was not a cut on him. Ted and Bev meet and instantly fall in love. They spend a blessed life living in Canada but are repeatedly drawn back to England, where Ted was born. They spend long periods of time there searching for an answer to some strange happenings that link them inextricably with a dark and guilty secret from the seventeenth century involving King Charles ll. A secret that Ted wants to keep to his Last Breath - but someone else has other ideas...
