This was the opening line for Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker, first published in December 1976, six months before the movie release of Star Wars: A New Hope. This novelization was ghostwritten by Alan Dean Foster but credited to George Lucas. The book title would later be republished under the title Star Wars: A New Hope.
