This book traces the migration of indigenous youths from the hills of Northeast India to cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram. They go out to study or to work in the emerging hospitality industry. Armed conflicts, corruption and the harsh conditions of subsistence agriculture prompt many to leave.
