Since nursery education has been highly valued these days, there is a growing demand for children-centred kindergarten designs. But it is a challenging task for designers to create a kindergarten that can meet conventional needs and benefit children's physical and mental development as it requires not only excellent professional skills but a thorough understanding of educational venue. Knowledge of children's psychology is sometimes necessary. It places the designers of a kindergarten in face of many unexpected problems during the process. This book addresses the problems designers often encounter in kindergarten design in terms of space planning, activity zone design, material selection, furniture design and colour design. Over 20 international designers are invited to share their experience and provide solution by project statement and QA.
