He and his co-author, Patrick Jenning, grew up together and spent much of their lives arguing over politics, literature, and what really happened to Thelma Todd. They have yet to resolve completely their disagreements on most other matters, but Testimony of a Death represents their joint view of the mysterious death of the wonderful comedienne.
