About the Author Kayla Thornton is a writer, mermaid, pizza lover, and mother of two beautiful faery princesses. Thornton and her family live in Los Angeles, California. She spends most of her time reading books, shopping, and making her dreams come true. The Itty-Bitty Fae Faeries Save the NICU is Thornton's first published book and the first of The Itty-Bitty Fae Faeries series. The inspiration for this book is her daughter Aaliyah, who was born premature and spent some time in the NICU.
