The line drawings have been derived from magnificent water color paintings that are well over a century old. Most of them are from Edward Lear's "Illustrations of the Family of the Psittacidae, or Parrots" published in 1832 which contains lithographs of his original paintings. In fact we have included all 42 birds from this wonderful and renowned collection.
