About the Author: Jeevan Brown grew up with a keen interest in music and writing. After graduating from high school, Jeevan left his hometown to attend Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. During his sophomore year Jeevan joined JCSU News, the bi-weekly campus newspaper. While writing for the student newspaper, Jeevan's professor noticed he had a knack for engaging readers. His stand out articles about the new social media phenomenon Facebook, musical reviews, and his Valentine's Day Tips and Tricks article quickly propelled him as the Feature Editor of the paper. Majoring in Communications, Jeevan took his passion for writing outside of JCSU and was hired as the Feature Writer for Charlotte Vibe. com. He acted as a correspondent for the Charlotte Bobcats NBA team and interviewed American Idol winner Ruben Studdard, Kymani Marley and a plethora of Charlotte, North Carolina entertainers and artists. He went on to work as an intern for PLAY Magazine and Jungle Records during his senior year. After receiving his Bachelors of Art degree from Johnson C.
