We have always been told that nutrition is important. Some of us took that to heart and others just shrugged it off. Unfortunately those "shruggers" usually feel the costly effects later in life. In this book, I am going to reveal the foods I discovered during my quest to get clearer vision without glasses or contacts. Some may seem exotic others may seem common. The nutrients in these foods, and the over 50 recipes included, contain vital nutrients to improve vision and even heal damaged eyes. About the Author: First a little about me. I started wearing glasses in the 8th grade. I always wanted to look smart so I didn't mind. Once I started playing football in highschool, things changed. I noticed I couldn't see the ball as well as I should have. Later on in my football years, I would wear contacts during games. This proved to be extremely frustrating because I was always getting poked in the eye, getting dirt in my eyes or the worst, having a contact lens come out during a game and having to stop and look for it on my hands and knees! I was blessed to go on to play 12 years of professional football after graduating from Vanderbilt University. My glasses and contacts, while getting more stylish in the late 80s early 90s, were still annoying. Once I retired from football, I went on to become a Doctor of Chiropractic in Southern California. We give health talks at our office on a weekly basis so research was something I do constantly. Over two years ago I came across the work of Dr William Bates. His methods involved exercises to help the muscles of the eye to move more freely and change the shape of the eyeball itself to allow for easier focus. I was intrigued. I tried a couple of the exercises and was amazed! I found that I could see much clearer and did not wear my glasses for over two years!
