O. Patterson Sr. was one of the most influential black men in America for 21 years in a row according to Ebony Magazine. Presiding Bishop of The Church of God In Christ, a position that should have cause him to have a greater sense of moral and ethical values, it seemed to have had a very small impact of his actions. My Brother J. O. Patterson Jr., was a former 2 term Senator, 1 term Congressman, and first black Mayor of the City of Memphis. A great man by world standards, but just as much a victim of our dad's reckless private life as my sister and I were. This book is a tale of religion, sex, lies, coverup's, murder, and extream coruption under the banner of The Church. And how the cover up's continues with some of the Church's Leadership even today. How sad it is when the people we turn to for compassion, spiritual guidance, and understanding. Use that position to abuse the innocent and greed to make millions. When my dad passed he left a reported 3 million dollars in cash stuffed into a freezer and a reported 48 million dollars of missing church money. The key word is reported, because only the person who found the cash and God know how much was actually there.
