She currently teaches art at the University of Chicago, Laboratory Schools. She received the Excellence in Teaching award from the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools in 2015. She is a renowned practicing and exhibiting artist. She has created large scale commissions for the Institute of Cultural Affairs and the Centers for Spiritual Living. She has participated in artist residency and exchange programs in Japan, Spain, Kenya, Tanzania, and Costa Rica. She has exhibited locally and nationally. Gina also served as the Executive Director of the Textile Arts Center in Chicago. Gina is a licensed Spiritual Practitioner through the Centers for Spiritual Living, a Science of Mind New Thought Ministry. She has previously served the Bodhi Spiritual Center in Chicago for 10 years, where she taught classes based on the creative power of the mind.
