Description King David is known as a "man after God's own heart." He was chosen and anointed to be one of the most loved rulers of God's people. Yet, that same heart was wicked enough to commit lust, adultery and murder. The resulting judgment of bloodshed in David's house was disastrous, shattering many lives. Through the eyes of the wife he stole from one of his loyal military men, we journey through the devastation of a life interrupted. Meet Bathsheba, who through no fault of her own, was thrust onto a path she did not chose. This young Israelite girl would ultimately became the wife and mother of kings but the way would be fraught in turmoil, grief and submission to God. Can God use a relationship born from sin for His glory? Can Bathsheba grow from victim to Queen Mother and positively impact the life of another maiden who finds herself in a similar situation? Can we learn how to wear our God given roles with the same dignity and wisdom that Bathsheba showed - no matter what the circumstance - to give glory to God? Kari Mann is an avid reader which gives her the opportunity to meet people like Josephine March, travel to places like Tangerine Island and join in adventures like the Tribulation Force. She grew up in John Steinbeck's hometown, attended college in London where she met Princess Diana, earned a degree in Graphic Design from Fresno State and has traveled to Israel. "Redemption in the Monarchy" is Kari's debut novel. She lives with her husband in Northern California. They have three adult children.
