About the Author By profession, Peter Margaritis has been a technical writer for nearly 30 years. A native of Columbus, Ohio, he minored in History at The Ohio State University, where he graduated in 1978 with a bachelor degree in Business. He has an extensive military background, served in the U. S. Navy in communications, and before retiring as a chief petty officer, worked for twelve years in Naval Intelligence. Peter is a writer who has studied the concepts of war for 50 years, specializing in the European military campaigns of World War II. He has given several private lectures on World War II and the Civil War. Although he has written many technical manuals and guides as a civilian, countless reports in and about the military, and several articles on World War II and the Civil War, he has only now started the process of publishing.
