About the Author: Corey Harris is a singer, guitarist and bandleader who regularly travels to Mali and other parts of the African continent. He first worked with Ali Farka Toure when he narrated Martin Scorcese's 2003 documentary, "Feel Like Going Home," in which he travels from Mississippi to Northern Mali n search of the roots of the blues. He later collaborated with Ali Farka Toure on the album, "Mississippi to Mali" featuring performances with Ali Farka Toure, Othar Turner, Bobby Rush, Sam Carr and others. This is his first book.
