He taught previously at Patrick Henry College in northern Virginia, in the graduate school of government at Regent University, and in the history/political science department at Indiana Wesleyan University. Dr. Snyder received his Ph. D. in history at The American University in Washington, D. C., and worked for several years as a historical/political consultant in the Washington, D. C. area.
