The arguments presented in this work place Paulescu two to three steps ahead of the Canadians. This is his place. No doubt this is where he will finally be placed. The later this happens, the better. The revelation of Paulescu's value is due to the resistance presented by the Canadians and their supporters to the reestablishment of the truth resulting from the works published at the time (1920-1923).
Personally, I see no victor in the process started by the impostors except one: THE TRUTH. There is only one truth. It is indivisible and indelible. The question is not how high Paulescu will rise, but how low the Canadians fall into the dismal depths. It is obvious that, as any trial to right injustices committed, extenuating circumstances may be found. It should not be forgotten though, that as with other actions even more damning evidence may arise.
In concluding this work, I have feeling that the history of the events leading to the discovery of insulin a predetermined course in order to underline the idea that if scientific research has no respect for moral standards, it will not stand the test of time. This is why the next work I will write will be dedicated to the ethics of scientific research especially as it results from Paulescu's extraordinary destiny. - Constantin Ionescu-Tirgoviste
