In 2001, a suicide bomb killed twenty-one young Israelis in Tel Aviv. The next day, an Israeli settler shot a Palestinian pharmacist, Mazan Al-Joulani, rendering him brain dead. In an extraordinary act of humanity, the family of Al-Joulani agreed to donate his heart to a dying Israeli.
