Adevărata noutate nu o constituie totuşi cartea noastră, deşi e una importantă în termeni de publicistică arhitecturală autohtonă, ci faptul că interioarele de birouri au devenit subiect cu drepturi depline de carte de arhitectură şi nici pe departe unul plicticos. Cred că până în urmă nu cu foarte multi ani era aproape imposibil să te găndeşti să faci o carte despre asemenea amenajări care să nu disloce maxilare din exces de căscat. ( ) Fapt e că în ultimii ani modul şi filosofia de lucru la birou s-au schimbat decisiv şi, odată cu ele, inevitabil, geografia locului ca atare. Delocalizarea informatiel, a bazelor de date şi a arhivelor, nemaivorbind de instrumentele însele, a făcut ca pozitia până atunci fixă, stabilă să nu mai fie nici pe departe o conditie a eficientei muncii, ba dimpotrivă.


The real novelty is not the book itself, even though it constitutes an important breakthrough on the local market of architecture publishing, but the fact that office interiors have become a full-fledged architecture book topic, and far from a boring one. I believe that, not many years ago, it was nigh impossible to even think about making a book on a similar topic that would not cause jaw-dislocafing yawns (...) The fact is that, during the last few years, office work and its philosophy have changed dramafically, and with this came the inherent change in the geography of the place itself. The decentrafization of information, of databases and archives, not to mention the tools themselves, determined that fixedness and stability would no longer constitute a condition of work effictency In fact, the opposite became true.
